That is a very heavily used alley, and with all the protests going on right now, the traffic is worse around Dupont than usual. DPW wasn’t collecting trash because of the snow. Well, I got a ticket from DPW for “trash not in covered receptacle” when I put out my trash on my trash day after over a week of no collection. I had extra trash and I placed my extra bag beside my trashcan. They didn’t even collect trash on the day that they gave the ticket so we had to haul it back in that night after work. Now, I’m not one to complain about the delayed collections because I totally understand that the snow was more than normal for this area. However, it seems really unbelievable that they would send officers around to issue tickets for people who have extra trash out because DPW isn’t collecting properly.
