He got hit by the train. Paramedics arrived quickly on the scene, and witnesses that crowded the window said he was still talking to them, but it sounded like he was hurt pretty bad. The whole incident lasted about 40 minutes before the paramedics loaded him into the ambulance and we started moving again. I haven’t seen any news about it yet, so I thought I would send in this tip. He was in his 40’s – 50’s, stood around 5’6’, wore glasses, was well dressed and carried a brand new black and white Wilson golf umbrella. He said he was a Dr. at UCLA and his Jag ran out of gas. He mistakenly left his wallet and his phone at UCLA and needed help. It was pouring rain and I’m a sucker and so I gave him $20. He made a big fuss about taking down my cell number but needless to say, he never called me as he had promised. A. Look out for this guy. I got scammed because I have a kind heart and felt sorry for an old man in a bad position. B. Has anyone heard about this guy or encountered him before? Councilman Koretz was there. And without it, the Village will continue to decline. E! has obtained at least two filming permits (Thursday and Friday) that are used to tie up the curb lane at 5750 Wilshire. Per the man watching the cones, they plan to shoot starting at noon. The shoot does not materialize by 1:00 so the space are released after lunch hour. The parking enforcement staff has apparently been told not to ticket the cars from 5757 Wilshire. No food trucks.
